Classical contemporary pieces are welcome
B. FOLKLORE
The ensembles to perform a folklore program of their home country, which may include folksong arrangements without choreography, or a folk scene, a traditional costume or a scene with choreography from the daily life of the participants. The choreography should reflect traditional customs. The main emphasis should be on the vocal part. The singers are allowed to wear traditional costumes. Notice: In case sheet music is not available, a short description for the jury written in English is requested. 
C. JAZZ, POP, MODERN      all genres of modern choral music are welcome. Choirs have the possibility to perform programs from Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Spiritual, or Modern Choral Music. However, contemporary classical choral music should be presented in categories A.
When choosing the category please, keep in sight your choir’s previous experience, results, capabilities in performances. Separate applications must be made for separate categories. 
Prizes and Awards

Prizes and Awards

Grand Prix (Choir): € 1,000

The jury may award special prizes for outstanding performances and unique presentations.

Competitors must be present during the Awards Ceremony to receive awards and evaluation forms from judges, as they will not be sent by mail.

All participants will receive certificates at the conclusion of three round of the competition. 

Rules and Regulations
Repertoire Requirements & Singing Time
For each category, there is no restriction on the number of songs sung with or without original 
accompaniment. 
Choirs are required to prepare three songs subject to the following requirements:
One composition in the native language from the ensemble’s country. 
The pure singing time limit for each category is as allocated. This time limit excludes the time incurred by applause or by stage entry/exit.
Each choir allowed a maximum pure singing time of 15 minutes and 12 minutes (Children’s Choir).

Evaluation and Judging Criteria
The Competition Jury will consist of a panel of international choral experts.
The evaluation of the Competition will be based on an internationally recognized evaluation system, according to the following criteria:
Technical Accuracy (30%) : Technique, Rhythm, Diction 
Musicality (35%): Interpretation, Improvisation, Musicianship, Sound,  Dynamics, Breath Management 
Quality (30%) Tone Quality, Pitch 
Stage Deportment (5 %) Attitude, Posture, Facial Expressions, etc.
The final result is calculated from the total sum of all final scores of the jury. The decisions of the jury are final and cannot be contested.

Accompanist
We will provide an accompanist for a fee of 30 euro (or you can bring your own accompanist if you wish). 
The use of a recorded CD music background in place of using an accompanist is not allowed.

Travel Expenses
Competitors are responsible for their own as well as their accompanists’ travel and accommodation expenses.

Video/Sound Engineering
With the application, all participating choirs agree to recordings and broadcasts in sound or television as well as any other recordings made in conjunction with the festival. 
Any use of unauthorized video or sound recording, amplification of voices or instruments other than the setup provided at the venues is strictly prohibited.
