Agnieszka Trela - Jochymek

Agnieszka Trela - Jochymek graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków where she studied choir conducting with professor Stanisław Krawczyński. She then continued her education at the Postgraduate Studies for Choirmasters at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.In 2005, she founded Lege Artis, a chamber choir with which she has (as the conductor) won numerous prizes and honourable mentions, and has to date recorded three albums: "Antiqua et nova carmina sacralia", "O magnum mysterium" and „Natężenie chóralności”. In 2011, she was awarded the prize for the best conductor at the 7th Choral Autumn Festival in Rybnik. In 2013, she received the prize for outstanding conductor at the Vox Domini Festival in Prusice. As a student, Agnieszka Trela-Jochymek was selected to represent Polish music academies at the European Association for Music in Schools Congress in Prague. She also represented the Academy of Music in Cracow at the 11th Nationwide Competition for Choir Conductors in Poznań. Since 2006, she has been working with the choir of King Jan III Sobieski 2nd Comprehensive Secondary School in Cracow. Since 2011, she has been the conductor of "Echo", the choir of Trzebinia Community Centre. She is also a certified Piano teacher in the Suzuki method .
