ANDREJA ŠTUCIN CERGOL

Andreja Štucin Cergol began her musical career at the Idrija Music School, where she studied piano and solo singing. After graduating from the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana in 2001, she continued her musical education at the Artistic Gymnasium in Koper and later at the G. Tartini Conservatory in Trieste, where she graduated in 2009 in solo singing.

In 2014, she combined her two professional fields and graduated with honours with a master’s degree in Inclusive Pedagogy from the Faculty of Education at the University of Primorska, where she is currently completing her PhD in Educational Sciences.

As a singer and soloist, she has participated in several vocal and choral ensembles, performing at national and international competitions and on world tours. As a member of renowned choirs, she has worked with prominent choral conductors, gaining valuable experience in the field of choral music.

She has conducted several choirs, with which she has received numerous national and international awards and recognitions. Since 2004, she has been conducting the school choirs of the Livade Izola Primary School, and since 2011, the Tamariska Girls’ Vocal Group. Since 2016, she has been working at the Faculty of Education at the University of Primorska as an assistant in higher education and a lecturer in music education, where she also conducts the UP PEF Girls’ Choir.
