Helga Dukarić Dangubić is an acclaimed choir conductor, music educator, and artistic leader whose work has left a strong mark on choral music in Croatia and beyond. She is the artistic director and conductor of the mixed choir “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro” and the joint choir of the First Croatian High School in Rijeka and the Andrija Mohorovičić High School in Rijeka, where she also teaches Music. In 2016, the Croatian Choral Directors Association recognized her achievements by awarding her the honorary professional title Maestra Mentor, highlighting her lasting contributions to high-level choral performance.

Helga has successfully led numerous children’s ensembles, including the choirs Hreljinski svićurići and Kantridska jedra, the klapas Krijesnice and Jedro, as well as the Vocal Studio Rijeka and HGD Zvijezda Danica from Kraljevica.

Under her leadership, choirs have received multiple gold and silver awards at national and international competitions. She herself has been honored withthree Best Conductor awards, at Croatia Cantat (2018), Istria Cantat (2020), and Aurora Cantat (2023).

Her passion for music education extends to international eTwinning projects, for which she has received the National and European Quality Labels, recognizing excellence in collaborative projects with youth.

Helga has published two audio recordings and is a regular jury member at international choir and klapa competitions. Her artistic network spans several countries, including Italy, Germany, Uruguay, Norway, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Poland.

At the invitation of Bishop Komarica, she was a guest conductor in Banja Luka.

She has received several major awards for her contributions to music and education. The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia honored her as one of the country’s most successful educators. She was also awarded by the City of Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for her outstanding achievements and lasting impact on education and cultural development.

Her reputation as a dedicated and visionary leader in choral music continues to grow both in Croatia and internationally.
