Andrea Mistaro is a chemist and a musician. He refined his experience in choir conducting attending to many famous choir conductors’ conducting courses (Heltay, Sacher, Martinolli D’Arcy, Pfaff, Grün). He has been the first Italian member of the European Youth Choir in 1997. He has conducted many choirs, performing more than 200 concerts in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany and Poland (invited by the Italian Institute of Culture and the Italian embassy). He has been the choir-master of the Italian premières of Leopold Mozart’s Missa Solmenis in C (in 1999, with a long tournée in Italy), of Deutsche Messe by E. Křenek (2014) and of Service Sacré di D. Milhaud (2017, broadcasted by Italian Radio RAI). He has been member of jury in choral competitions for youth choirs in Italy (Umbria, 2008; Emilia Romagna, 2010). He held choral workshops for the youth choir Festival “Musicando” (Riccione, 2009 & 2010). He cooperates with national and regional specialized choral magazines.
