Goran Jerković is a conductor, music educator and manager. He graduated from the Zagreb Music Academy and later on studied at the Summer Academy of Choral Conducting at Wernigerode (Germany) with prof. Dr.Jerry Jordan (USA) and Gabor Hollerung (Hungary), and also completed a master class in choral conducting at the National Symposium in Vancouver (Canada) in the class of Jon Washburn conducting renowned professional choir "Vancouver Chamber Choir." As an active participant of numerous seminars he studied with world notables for choral music and interpretation (Renaissance and Baroque): Peter Phillips, The King's Singers, Alastair Hume, Katalin Kiss, Klaus-Jurgen Etzold, Mats Nilsson, etc. He has also established a chamber choir named Ivan Filipović and works as conductor and artistic director with the choir. He conducted different choirs, taught music, and worked as an associate for music, and as producer with the Croatian cultural assembly and symphonic orchestra of the Croatian army. He is also a lecturer and a coach who delivers seminars for conductors and choir masters in Croatia. Mr Jerkovic received an international scholarship from Musica Mundi Choral Academy. As conductor of Ivan Filipovic he has received numerous awards (Istanbul, Rome, Xiamen, Bremen, Verona, Budapest...) and devotedly cultivates á cappella choir literature, paying special attention to programme selection and choir sound.
